Our Kingklip fillets are skinless and boneless making for quick preparation and easy eating. The raw flesh varies from a pearly white to a delicate rose colour and cooks to a perfect milky white.
Taste:
When cooked, the fillets are firm and flake beautifully. Kingklip has a slightly sweet meaty flavour which takes extremely well to seasoning and sauces.
Really enjoyed the convenience and quality of the service and the fish was good - however I was not expecting the fish to be frozen - this should be called out in the description - but all in all happy.
The fish is excellent size, quality and value for money. My only suggestion is to please wrap in individual plastic wraps so that they do not stick together.
We had the kongklip pan fried in lemon, garlick butter - it was delicious! The kingklip tasted as though it was just caught fresh. The MONK fish will be made as a mock crayfish starter for Xmas.
