Cooking
Defrost before cooking.
Our soft shell crab comes uncleaned. To clean them simply lift up the soft sides on the top of the shell, this will expose the gills. Then use a pair of scissors to cut them off. Then pat dry and coat in flour and spice. Heat a pan on a medium high heat and add oil. These need to be shallow fried preferably so be sure to use more oil than usual. Add the crabs with their shells on and fry for 4min a side.
Alternatively, you can boil them for roughly 8min on a medium heat or grill them for 6min but it’s not the same as frying and getting that juicy crunch! We recommend serving with our kewpie mayo.

I’ve been searching for some Soft Shell Crab for a while and when I first wanted to order, it was out of stock…I can’t blame anyone because it is just so Yummy and service just so amazing. We wanted to try out something we had at one of our favourite restaurants, sorry to say the probably won’t see us again for a while… Our version turned out great and the size of the Crab is much bigger from Caught Online. Great product, nicely individually wrapped. Not that there would ever been anything left to freeze😊 Easy to clean and to prepare. We will definitely order again.
