We are major salmon fans over here and this teriyaki salmon recipe is a winner! It’s so simple and doesn’t require any lengthy marinating, but is super flavorful. The Asian salmon turns out flaky, juicy and absolutely delicious with the homemade teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1 T castor sugar
- 1 T olive oil
- 400g sushi grade salmon (or tuna)
- 2 small sheets of Nori finely sliced
- 1 t sea salt flakes
- 1 t dried chilli flakes
Short Instructions
Step 1
Place soy, mirin and sugar in a bowl and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add fish and set aside to marinade for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan over a high heat, drizzle olive oil into pan and add the fish, reserving the marinade. Cook for 2-3min skin side down before tuning and cooking for 1/1:30 min on the other side. Cook to preference, we suggest that it’s best left uncooked in the middle.
Step 3
Add the marinade and cook till heated through for about a minute. Serve fish topped with the seaweed salt and marinade for plating.
