Honey Hake Sliders with a Light Mustard-Mayo Aioli

These honey Hake sliders are light and sweet with a tangy aioli on top to round of a perfect bite (or two). Enjoyed specifically with friends and family.

Active Time: 15 mins Total Time: 15mins Serves: 4

Ingredients

For The Fish:

  • 200 - 250 grams of Hake thawed fillets
  • 1 tbs. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • Rocket or any greens you might like to use instead
  • 4 slider buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For The Aioli:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 1 tbs. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbs. finely chopped coriander
  • 2 tbs. dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Short Instructions:

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius.

Step 2

Spray a baking tray with non-stick cooking spray. Place Hake on baking sheet. Drizzle tops with olive olive, salt, pepper and a generous teaspoon of honey. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 3

For the Light Mustard-Mayo Aioli

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Place bowl in the fridge for 15 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse.

Step 4

Remove from oven. Spread aioli on top and bottom of the brioche buns. Break up the Hake into bite-sized pieces and place on the bun. Place rocket over the hake. Serve whilst hot and enjoy!
