Product:
Our boneless skinless monkfish fillets are super special, typically exclusively exported to be served in Europes finest restaurants. Our Monkfish fillets, also known as Anglerfish, is caught in the deep sea of the Atlantic ocean and spend the majority of their life in the deepest and darkest parts of the ocean. They can also handle a wide range of temperatures which allows them to feed and spawn in shallower waters too.
Taste:
Monkfish has a mild, sweet taste to it with the flesh being firm and lean. Most restaurants use this as a substitute for Lobster due to how similar in taste and texture the two species are.

Cooking
Defrost before cooking. We recommend that monk fish is best cooked in a curry, as it has a firm texture similar to lobster. Alternatively, you can pan fry or oven bake this delicious fish.
Conventional oven:
- Place monk fillets in a oven tray with a drizzle of oil and spice of your choice.
- grill in an oven at 180C for about 15-20 minutes.
Pan fry:
- Slice fillet into smaller portions roughly 5cm in length.
- Place in a pan at medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil and cook for roughly 2 minutes on each side.
- We recommend adding butter towards the end of the pan fry to add a nutty flavour.
