Our wild-caught hake portions are carefully cut using the thickest pieces of the fish, removing the skin and bones leaving you with a nice and thick loin of Hake. It is caught off the coast of South Africa from the mouth of the Orange River to Port Elizabeth and is favoured for its delicate white flaky flesh.

Taste:

Hake tends to have a very mild taste with slightly sweet flesh. Best eaten fried or grilled.

Hake *****

I love these hake *****. I am a fussy eater and like white fish, no skin or bone. Simply dusted in seasoned flour, dipped in egg and pan fried for 7 minutes. Delicious served with a mixed salad.

Convenient way to prep hake

The ***** were solid, meaty and completely boneless which was great. They were also very convenient to work with, although you are dealing with many small-ish pieces so you might need to take that into account, depending on how you're preparing it (for example, you might be flipping a lot of pieces during the cooking process if that's what you're doing).

Boneless Hake *****

I bought 3 packets only had one so far - excellent and so easy nd quick to cook. Today I got the order for half shell mussels, prawns and oysters. Love it - I'm the only one who eats them!!!!!!!!!!
